Author Talk: Octavio Ramos Jr and Paul Ziomek

Join us for a special Atomicon author (and illustrator!) talk at the library. On the afternoon of Atomicon, author Octavio Ramos Jr and illustrator Paul Ziomek will share a talk on their collaboration in the recently-published Cuentos Infernales: Frightening Folklore from Latin America. Octavio and Paul will discuss the work of building the story and bringing it to print. As a special feature, both Octavio and Paul will be found throughout Atomicon. Before coming to the author talk, visit the Vendor Hall at Fuller Lodge to meet Octavio and explore his other comics. And be sure to find Paul during the morning on the lower level of the library as he is one of our Atomicon caricature artists. Octavio Ramos Jr. worked as a technical writer-editor at LANL for more than 30 years before retiring. He has published several books, more than 250 short stories, and nonfiction works in the realms of science fiction, fantasy, horror, martial arts, and heavy metal music. Paul Ziomek is a visual designer with a passion for illustrating comic books. He is a founding member of the non-profit New Mexico comic book creators group 7000BC.
