Standing Pod – reed, wood, plaster; 20” X 18” X 7”; 2016. Pink Dirtflower – reed, gourd, paper, plaster. Beginning Basketry/WickerWorks Workshop #1 – Tuesday, June 23, 9 am – 1. $ 11, which includes materials and taxes. This is a fun hands-on introduction to basketry. Using reed and a wood base, we will explore basic traditional wicker weave patterns and textures, and ways of shaping a basket form. We will also cover simple techniques to finish a basket edge. No experience necessary.
