Join us for a guided Forest Bathing Experience! In this months Discover! program at the White Rock Branch, we offer an introduction to forest bathing, a nature wellness practice inspired by the Japanese shinrin-yoku. This session is an opportunity to slow down, unplug, and experience the surrounding environment through all of the senses. Also known as nature therapy, this simple guided practice has been shown to promote health and well-being, to help us manage the stresses and anxieties of the modern world, and to make meaningful connections. What to Expect Two certified instructors will lead a small group of up to 10 participants through a shortened forest bathing practice. The session will begin with an introduction to the topic, followed by guided activities outdoors. We’ll wrap up with time for questions and feedback. This workshop is designed as an accessible introduction. It is perfect for anyone curious about nature‑based wellness and looking to explore how to incorporate it into their routine. Additional Details Registration is recommended; space is limited to 10 participants. The group will meet inside the White Rock Branch Library before walking a short distance to the outdoor program location. Please arrive a few minutes early. Participants are invited to share during the guided experience, but sharing is completely optional. Accommodation requests may be made prior to the program. Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Please check the weather and bring a sun hat, extra layer, or other items you may need. Bring a water bottle.
