"Fair is foul, and foul is fair": Macbeth and Elizabethan Morality

Join New Mexico Shakespeare Festival's (NMSF) Outreach Educators Elizabeth and Alexandra as they dive into the roots of one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays Macbeth and the witchy underpinnings of the show. They will dive into James I of England, his assassination plot, his hunt for witches, the political and professional dealings of Shakespeare’s life at that time, and why Lady Macbeth is one of the best parts in the canon. Elizabeth and Alexandra will end with American Spiritualism and why NMSF Artistic Director Levi Gore's setting of the show in this time period is the perfect setting for the show which the NMSF will present October 9 through November 1, 2026 at the Keshet Center for Dance & Arts.
