Interfaith Book Club: Between Two Moons

For the month of September, the Interfaith Book Club will be discussing "Between Two Moons" by Aisha Abdel Gawad. In this book, Gawad tells the story of Amira and Lina, twin sisters living in the mostly Muslim community of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. During the holy month of Ramadan, the twins must navigate graduating high school, their brother's return from prison, and increasing islamophobia in their community. This is Gawad's first novel, and is a winner of the New York City Book Award and the 2024 American Book Award.
