Etching is an intaglio printmaking technique traditionally created by drawing an artist’s design onto a metal plate through several stages, ultimately etching it permanently. Ink is then applied to this plate and the image is transferred to paper using an etching press. Our workshop will cover the essential skills for etching, starting with preparing the plate through degreasing. We will then guide you through applying both hard and soft grounds for drawing, as well as the aquatint process in order to develop a full range of textural and tonal qualities. 12 Consecutive Mondays, 10:00am – 4:00pm $1350 + $110.53 Tax ($400 Deposit Required) UPCOMING DATES AUTUMN SESSION Start: September 7, 2026 Finish: November 23, 2026 PARTICIPANTS Maximum: 5 RESERVE YOUR SPOT WITH AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION: [email protected]
