“They Had No Time to Say Goodbye,” FREE workshop at The Groove Artspace

We invite artists to participate in “They Had No Time to Say Goodbye”, a multimedia collaborative art installation about the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW). Workshop participants will view a video of a 2024 version of the installation, followed by a discussion. Then, they will draw portraits of Indigenous women and then etch them onto X-rays to incorporate into the installation. Every participant is acknowledged in our exhibitions. *Kimberly Wahpepah (Diné), survivor of sex trafficking; Sandi Ludescher, figurative painter; Linda Piper, Black activist; and writer and Rose Marie Prins, artist. This is a free workshop. However, donations to cover expenses are gratefully accepted.
